"If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader!"
- John Quincy Adams
As a woman in engineering and business, I believe in empowering and advancing women, minorities, and underrepresented groups in STEM fields. My aim is to help them to believe in themselves, speak up, be creative, and contribute to the community. I believe my sense of teamwork, strong academic background, integrity, and ability to put in sustained quality effort uniquely qualify me to do so.
I enjoy mentoring students for research projects, student competitions, conference/seminar presentations, master theses/projects, and creative activities as well as serving the professional community as a reviewer for several journals and chairing sessions in conferences. My commitment to go above and beyond the responsibilities to help my students in research efforts have been acknowledged by the Office of Student Research at CSUSB with the "Research and Creative Activity Mentor Award" in recognition of my dedication to student’s success for careers in research, teaching, and preparing them to meet the highest professional and ethical standards as scholars in 2021.
